Water Projects Europe event: Circularity in Industrial Water

On the 28. May 2026, Water Europe, together with the European research projects R3VOLUTION, RESURGENCE, and CORNERSTONE invites stakeholders to the online event “Water Projects Europe 2026: Circularity in Industrial Water.” The free event will take place from 11:00 to 13:00 (CEST) and is aimed at professionals from research, industry, policy, and practice.

The event focuses on how circular approaches to industrial water management can help make Europe’s industry more resilient, resource‑efficient, and sustainable. In the face of increasing water scarcity, rising energy costs, and stricter environmental regulations, water reuse as well as the recovery of energy, heat, and valuable resources from industrial wastewater are becoming strategic priorities.

The event is part of the clustering activities of the R3VOLUTION project and provides a platform for dialogue between projects addressing similar challenges. The goal is to strengthen synergies, identify common barriers, and highlight successful solutions to accelerate their replication and market uptake.

In addition to the three Horizon Europe flagship projects RESURGENCE, CORNERSTONE, and R3VOLUTION, which address different industrial contexts, the MEloDIZER project will also participate, offering further perspectives on innovative approaches to industrial water reuse and waste stream valorisation. Together, the projects demonstrate how technological innovation can be integrated with economic and regulatory frameworks.

With Water Projects Europe 2026, a shared space is created where innovation, practical experience, and strategic perspectives come together with the overarching aim of actively supporting Europe’s transition towards a water‑smart and circular industrial economy.
