Exciting Collaboration at the China-Spain New Energy and Materials Forum

On 14-16th November 2024, CCEM Barcelona Professor and Group Leader, Jose Luis Cortina Pallas, from the Resource Recovery and Environmental Management (R2EM) group participated in the China-Spain New Energy and Materials Forum for Academic and Industrial Cooperation at the Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT). During the forum, Prof. Cortina delivered a presentation titled, “Promoting Cycling and Upcycling in Urban and Industrial Waste Cycles.

In his talk, he highlighted ongoing work on integrating processing technologies aimed at improving materials circularity in the industrial and urban water cycles. Different HE projects were presented as R3VOLUTION and Life Enrich. The forum was organized by Prof. Liu Guangqing from BUCT, fostering discussions on future collaborations with Prof. Bensheng Su and Liu Guangqing (BUCT), Luis Rubio from Ibernavitas TDG C&I Storage Solutions, and Dr. Tong Mu from Wanhua Chemical Group. The visit included the visit of CRRC on of the largest companies in China leading the development of renewable based energy technologies to help industries in their process decarbonization, one of the objectives of the R3volution project.
